Cambrie Eden Merrifield

This is yesterday, July 25th, right after she was born, around 7:00pm at night. She was 8lbs 30zs. 20 inches long.

With her daddy in the hospital the next day.

We love her already, even though she stinks to the high heavens...she has sulfur gas.

Everything went so well. We are so blessed! Short version of the story....

Thursday 24th-8 days overdue:

10:00am-started having back labor

11:00pm-started active labor

Friday 25th-

1:00am-went walking with Will off and on till around 8:30 in the morning.

8:30am-went to the doctor and found out that I was 5cm dilated and 100% efaced-whoo hoo!

he told us to go over to the hospital.

9:00am-6cm dilated, doctor said to get epidural because of me being a V-BAC, was afraid my scar would rupture and they would need to do emergency C-section...Will and I thought about it for a while.

2:30pm-dilated to 9 cm. I was getting so tired, and my back was pretty sore from back labor. I was afraid that I would not be able to push her out...not to mention the scare from the doctor about getting the epidural. So i got the epidural. Good thing that I did. The doctor went in to check her and she had not decended...we had to wait for about three hours for her to come down.

probably at around 3:00pm we found out that I was dilated to 10cm.

5:30pm-started pushing. I was so tired that i was falling asleep while I was pushing. I had to literally slap my face over and over again to keep myself awake...pushed for about 45 min to an hour.

6:33pm Cambrie arrives! Yea!

Projects and Presents

Just wanted to show everyone two things...the first is the girl's birthday present from Nonnie and Poppie and Mughie-Will's mom, dad and grandma. It is a little white table with four different color chairs-pink, blue, yellow, and green.
Isn't their table so cute! They love it. Kensie, when she saw that it had additional chairs, not just for her and Gabbie, she said pointing to the extra chair, "Mom, friend sit here" and she did the sign language for friend. I couldn't believe that she could figure that out.

I saw this idea in pottery barn and thought it was so cute so i thought that i would make it and customize the colors to the girls room....

Father's Day!

I just wanted to write a quick note and tell everyone how blessed I am to have Will. I love him so much and I am so glad that he is married to me. He is so fun and positive, really has a great sense of humor. I made him breakfast in bed this morning which was really fun-crepes with whipped cream and raspberries and blueberries, and also some maple sausage...nothing to crazy but something special that I have never made for him before. Will is such a good dad. Our kids are so blessed to have him and will hopefully be able to appreciate his sense of humor when they get older. :) I love you Will. Happy Father's Day!

Sunday was Jessica Beck's baby Natalie's blessing. Afterwards, we went to her sister's house and had a big potluck. There were like 32 people there (big family). Then we went and played outside. The neighbors have minature horses and they were nice enough to saddle one up and let the girls and some of the other kids ride on them it was so fun! Kensie, Gabbie, Will and Jess-I look like I am about to pop!
Kensie didn't really like riding all that much. Right after she got off the pony, she went and played on the trampoline.

Will with Jeff, Nathan, Amy and Hannah
There are the little ponies. Aren't they so cute!
Gabbie-a cowgirl at heart. Look how big she is getting!
When it was time for Gabbie to get off, She puckered her bottom lip out, stomped her foot and started crying so bad. She wanted to keep riding.

Saturday, in the park....

Wow! i just realized how bad that I am at blogging! Umm, last post was over a year ago. :) So for a quick update. The girls turn two on June 9th. I am due with another girl on July 16th. I am hoping to have natural childbirth, not another c-section...We will see. I took Gabbie off of her hunger stimulant medicine about two months ago and she has been so happy. Eating is still hit and miss, but definetly better than before. Will is taking 19 credits this semester, staying busy with school and trying to help out with the kids as much as he can. I am working about 10 hours a week with a call job form home. Good pay, but it stinks not being able to spend that time with the girls.

Kensie and Gabbie's good friend Carter moved to Arizona this week. Kens seems somewhat depressed. They both ask, "Mom, where Car-car go?" and then they respond, "he went night-night." It is so cute.

We are going to walk to the park and have a picnic with Jeff and Jessica Beck, some of our really good friend. We'll have to take pics and post them for everyone to see.

Okay, I think I don't like to post things on my blog 'cause normally my entries are so boring! Hopefully I will have something more exciting next time. Until then....muuuaah!

Time is flying by...

This month seems like it has gone by so fast. We have had so much go on. First, Skylar and John came to visit, which was so fun. While they were here we took the girls swimming for the first time-they loved it! They loved splashing the water and getting themselves wet. We had a couple picnics and the girls are actually scared to get onto the grass, they do not like the feel of it or the fact that it is not something solid that they can stand on. We miss Skylar and John, but can't wait to see them in August.

Will and I are getting ready for my brother Phillip to come to Idaho and live. Will is going to go pick him up tomorrow and they are driving back this weekend. It will be a fun adventure for everyone involved. I will miss Will and will be excited for his return.

The girls turn one year old next month, and can't wait to throw a party for them! It will be so fun to socialize and I am sure that we will have a ball.
